Pabin was my grandfather. He built a house in Nakusp, BC with incredible views of the Thor mountain range. He believed every home should have a name so he named that house Thorwind. He was a jazz musician, a historian and an artist among many other things and it was in his home that I learned the value of our past, to respect the years that create who we are and cherish them beyond all else.
lyrics
Old clothes sit tight and warm the bones
Hang like heavy serotone robes
Snug up to the soul like soup in bowl
Holding out the cold
I will gladly pay the toll
I will grab the dice and roll
I will gladly pay the toll
Understand I'll never know
The weather worn skin set torn
knows much more than clean newborn
lines are preaching like layered peaches
Each one has something to teach
I will gladly take a lesson
Over bored and not addressing
I will gladly take a lesson
Unfulfilled by all the guessing
